Hello, I currently run an IPB (ver. 2.3.4) site with some 700 members. I am developing a new site using phpFoX (latest version) and I would like to migrate my IPB members there once I am finished. There is no way at the moment to make phpFoX compatible with IPB, and so I am thinking of taking a sort of detour and would like to know if it is possible and if someone here may be able to help (and for how much): 1. Install vBulletin and integrate it with my phpFoX site; 2. Migrate my current IPB database to vBulletin. Notes: My IPB is modded and features Invision's Blog and Gallery components, so the database would need to be stripped for migration (I only need the forum stuff...users, topics, posts, post attachments) I have not problem with my members losing their passwords as I actually want to validate them on the new site via email, allowing them to setup a new password. Lastly, what should come in first, custom template and theme installation, or vBulletin integration mod? Doable? Suggestions? I really need to get those members and their forum content to my new site... Thanks! |
